Speaker:

Welcome to a super special edition of The Appeal.

2

:

I am Chris Malzouski with Hail Hail Auctions.

3

:

I'm missing my counterpart, Ms.

4

:

Sia Yassir-Tornratt with Brilliant Beam Media.

5

:

She's backstage today running all the bells and whistles because we have a unique setup

ahead of us today for The Appeal, if you've been with us for the last year or so, you

6

:

probably understand that we're a live show.

7

:

We have amazing guests from community building organizations on all the time, but there's

a relationship.

8

:

that I want to highlight today that we rushed uh for good reason to bring this show

together.

9

:

And because it is summer, and as you know, the two things that happen a lot in summer are

baseball season and golf outings.

10

:

want to talk briefly about some things I've been up to and give a quick shout out to the

SBA Raiders out of Huntley, Illinois.

11

:

If you're not aware, I was recently named the director of player development and

recruiting for this amazing nonprofit.

12

:

local youth baseball organization.

13

:

And I'm excited to carry some of my experiences and help guide some young men in the game

of baseball.

14

:

And as I said earlier, it is golf outing season.

15

:

I'm not a golfer myself for good reason.

16

:

I'm terrible at it.

17

:

But as you know, I was hail hail auctions, love raising awareness and money for community

building organizations.

18

:

And when I found out about the relationship with the guest of ours, an organization I

support wholeheartedly in Oak Lydon and RJ McMahon,

19

:

And there are coming golf outing in partnership with willing to hunt and Greg hunt.

20

:

I felt like we had to get a show on the docket launched to the world as quick as possible.

21

:

So this is going to be pre-preproduced and launched here in a few days, but see if you

don't mind.

22

:

Let's bring RJ and Greg up to the stage and we're going to get today's show started.

23

:

There they are gentlemen.

24

:

How are you?

25

:

I'm so excited to have you both RJ McMahon with Oak Lydon and Greg hunt with willing to

hunt executive recruiting firm.

26

:

specializing in financial services.

27

:

Greg will get to that more later, but gentlemen, I'm so excited to have you.

28

:

Thank you for being so flexible.

29

:

We had some scheduling snafus.

30

:

We had some technology difficulties, but lo and behold, here we are to talk about a great

event upcoming here next month.

31

:

But RJ real quick, if you don't mind, give us a high level uh snapshot.

32

:

What's going on with Oak Lydon?

33

:

Who are you and why are you here?

34

:

Yeah, awesome.

35

:

Thanks, Chris.

36

:

Always great to be with you.

37

:

And uh total bonus to have Greg on the line as well with us.

38

:

This is quite the three-headed monster that I have my eyes on right here.

39

:

grateful to be part of it.

40

:

So Oak Leyden, we're nonprofit.

41

:

We work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

42

:

We have 11 homes.

43

:

We have two day programs for our adult clients.

44

:

And we also have early intervention services for little kiddos birth to three who've been

45

:

evaluated, assessed with delays and disabilities.

46

:

You know, we've been in business since 1956.

47

:

Can't believe that next year will be our 70th year doing this work.

48

:

I've not been there the entire time, Chris.

49

:

So in case you're wondering, ah it's not.

50

:

Those gray hairs would give it away otherwise.

51

:

Exactly.

52

:

I present like I've been there for 70 years, no, I've only been doing this for five years.

53

:

So, but really excited to talk today about this unique partnership and with a guy that I

respect immensely and uh have watched from afar and watched from close and Greg just gets

54

:

it done, man.

55

:

It's, good stuff.

56

:

So, so thanks for the opportunity to spread the word.

57

:

Yeah.

58

:

of course.

59

:

And speaking about getting to see something close or firsthand, you know, I was so

honored, RJ, to serve as your auctioneer a couple months ago at your gala or your event at

60

:

Fitzgerald's and had just an amazing time.

61

:

Everything from meeting the guests to hearing the choir to selling some trips and

experiences, we had a great time.

62

:

And I want to just tell you, as I've gotten to know you and learn about the work of Oak

Lydon, I'm even more strongly tied and feel greater affection for the work it is that you

63

:

guys do.

64

:

So thank you for allowing me that opportunity to serve you and thank you for coming back

on.

65

:

And thank you for introducing me to Greg and Greg, I'll get to you really quick.

66

:

You know, as RJ explained to me how this relationship came about, as he explained to me

who you are and everything that willing to hunt is all about, I want to just highlight and

67

:

if I may congratulate and commend you.

68

:

You don't know much about me, but I work with HailHailAuctions.

69

:

As I said, our mission is to raise awareness and money for great community building

organizations and

70

:

And as I was looking through your website to get a little bit better understanding of what

it is you guys do, you said it's point blank on your website, dedicated to philanthropy.

71

:

And right then and there, I got goosebumps and it made all the sense in the world as to

why you two gentlemen, aside from both not having any hair, decided to uh join forces.

72

:

Listen, I'm not far myself.

73

:

Why do you think I wear a hat on every show?

74

:

Every show I wear a hat.

75

:

But anyways, Greg, listen to all lighty side, you the work that you do with willing to

hunt and helping find financial services, professionals, new careers, et cetera, but also

76

:

dedicated to philanthropy.

77

:

I want to give you the stage.

78

:

Please introduce yourself and let us know what willing to hunt is all about.

79

:

No, I appreciate that Chris and first and foremost, thank you for this opportunity to be

on the podcast and to uh do this uh forum and platform with RJ who I've known for many

80

:

years.

81

:

uh Again, my name is Greg Hunt.

82

:

I'm the president and CEO of Willing to Hunt.

83

:

We are a boutique executive search firm, primarily in the Chicago land market.

84

:

ah

85

:

We kind of specialize in the financial services industry, specifically in banking.

86

:

And so a lot of the work that we do is focused in uh commercial lending, in credit, in

wealth, in mortgage, uh retail banking.

87

:

ah And we also work with, you know, non-banks.

88

:

So we work with credit unions.

89

:

We work with what we call private lenders in the Chicago land market.

90

:

Um, so again, we've been around since, uh, 2001, um, believe it or not.

91

:

Um, I rebranded the company, uh, back in 2016.

92

:

Um, so we were hunting associates, uh, when we started back in 2001 and then in 2016, kind

of rebranded the company, um, to kind of really, uh, try to tie in who we are and what we

93

:

do.

94

:

So that's how the name willing to hunt.

95

:

uh, came into play.

96

:

kind of give an indication of what we do and then kind of play on my last name.

97

:

Because when I got into this industry, said, well, Greg, you know, you are a head hunter

and, it's fascinating that, you know, hunts your last name.

98

:

Uh, so, know, it's a good idea to kind of play on words there.

99

:

Uh, and so we, uh, back in 2016 went through this process of coming up with a new name,

some new branding and hence the name willing to hunt.

100

:

So.

101

:

in addition to, know, I tell everybody executive recruiting is what I, what I do for work,

philanthropy, community development.

102

:

That's who I am.

103

:

Um, and so RJ has been around me long enough, to kind of know the things that I've been

affiliated with.

104

:

So, the golf outing, believe it or not, and I don't know if I'm getting ahead of myself

here.

105

:

The golf outing started with me just getting together playing golf with a whole bunch of

bank.

106

:

Yeah.

107

:

Can I ask you some questions about that quick, Greg?

108

:

So I want to highlight cause that's the main reason we're here for those that don't know.

109

:

This is a unique relationship and partnership amongst willing to hunt and Oak Lydon.

110

:

And as Greg, you were alluding to you've ran a golf outing for several years.

111

:

I believe it's called the bankers charity golf classic.

112

:

Um, and this year, all of the proceeds are going to be dedicated to Oak Lydon and we're

hoping so for future years as well, but

113

:

As somebody who uh is in the, I know you are RJ, but as somebody who is in the fundraising

industry day in and day out and getting to talk to great professionals like the both of

114

:

you, both from the nonprofit and for-profit side, it's so exciting.

115

:

It's so uh humbling, if you will, to see those two worlds collide for good.

116

:

Right.

117

:

And so Greg, I want to give you the opportunity.

118

:

You were alluding to it earlier.

119

:

How did the golf outing start?

120

:

What was its original intention?

121

:

And then RJ, we'll get to you to figure out how this relationship formed and what we're

doing about it.

122

:

Yeah.

123

:

So, so basically, you know, I use this opportunity really as a business development type

situation, right?

124

:

So since I work with bankers and banks, almost exclusively, I said, you know what, I think

there could be an opportunity for us to get together, play some golf.

125

:

Cause I knew everybody played golf.

126

:

There's an opportunity for us to get together, play some golf.

127

:

Maybe we sit around, you know, in the 19th hole.

128

:

You know, have a pop, um, and just talk about the industry.

129

:

And so that's really how it started.

130

:

And, um, believe it or not, probably for the first seven or eight years, that's kind of

what we did.

131

:

And then the light bulb went on about seven years ago and said, you know what, Greg, it's

great that you guys get a chance to get together.

132

:

What would be more impactful is if you raise some money.

133

:

for worthy charity.

134

:

That would be more impactful.

135

:

Now keep in mind, and RJ is probably gonna talk about this, ah I have a relationship, a

deep relationship, you know, with the disability community.

136

:

ah You know, my brother-in-law had Down syndrome and they live with my wife and I up until

his death.

137

:

And so I've been around, you know, the disability community for a very long time.

138

:

uh As a matter of fact, the church that RJ and I belong to, I started a nonprofit at the

church that was geared towards uh advocating and supporting folks with disability in our

139

:

church community.

140

:

And so when I started this whole fundraising aspect, they were the first organization uh

that were the beneficiaries.

141

:

And then what I started to do was kind of rotate organizations in and out.

142

:

Because again, I wanted other organizations to get an opportunity.

143

:

So then we moved to another great organization, uh Arts of Life.

144

:

So we did Arts of Life for a couple years.

145

:

ah then magically, and RJ can talk about this, magically RJ appears.

146

:

He always finds a way doesn't he seems to be that guy that's everywhere and nowhere at

once but RJ, you know

147

:

He appears, you know, again, I had no set up for it.

148

:

He didn't call me magically.

149

:

He appears now.

150

:

What's the great thing about RJ?

151

:

Well, people don't know is RJ supported my golf outing for years before he even approached

me about partnering.

152

:

I mean, he invested in what we were doing and that's just the type of guy he is.

153

:

I know firsthand and I wanna just highlight, as you mentioned, you had donated the

proceeds to several IDDs organizations throughout.

154

:

And then as you guys, didn't know you were both belong to the same church, even makes the

story even that much stronger, if you will.

155

:

it really is, as you said, Greg,

156

:

Talking the talk is one thing, but walking the walk is another.

157

:

And whether it's through your community building, through your church or the efforts

you've given through willing to hunt in the previous golf outings, right?

158

:

You're making the world a better place.

159

:

And what we're learning together, right?

160

:

I think RJ, you could attest to mine and your partnership, right?

161

:

The power of collaboration and joining forces with different folks who bring different

talents and skillsets and industries together can even push that.

162

:

ball farther, faster, if you will.

163

:

And RJ, as someone who participated in the past, Bankers Classic or Bankers Charity Golf

Classic outings in the past, what was your mind thinking becoming the executive director

164

:

of Oak Lydon?

165

:

And how did you approach, if you don't mind Greg, to have this conversation?

166

:

Because I think it's a good learning experience for other executive directors or other

community building organizations to start to think outside the box.

167

:

Yeah, no, it, it great.

168

:

And Greg, thank you.

169

:

You're, too kind.

170

:

You're way too kind.

171

:

Um, so, know, it was an opportunity to play golf.

172

:

Let's be honest.

173

:

Drink a beer and play some Go!

174

:

That got me in the door, right?

175

:

But, but, but, but, but truly, you know, I think I first saw it probably on LinkedIn,

right?

176

:

Greg, had posted something on LinkedIn a few years ago.

177

:

Like that's really interesting.

178

:

And, and you know what?

179

:

I love Greg.

180

:

I don't see him often enough, right?

181

:

So I'm going to, I'm, if my schedule allows, I'm going to jump in, right?

182

:

And, and so, you know, jumped in and, and, uh, I guess sponsored a whole did, did whatever

right.

183

:

And, and, and Greg, know, you took care of me, man.

184

:

You, you set me up with some really quality.

185

:

partners.

186

:

I love to play, but my gosh, Greg, Greg, literally back to back years put me on the first

two years I played, put me on the winning teams, like love it.

187

:

And it put me on the team.

188

:

Not, not, didn't move the needle.

189

:

Like these guys were going to win whoever they were carrying.

190

:

Maybe that's because he was trying to level the playing field.

191

:

He's saying something about your golf game, RJ.

192

:

ah I tried not to go there Chris, but yeah that might have been something.

193

:

Chris, I want him to come back.

194

:

I want him to come back.

195

:

So funny.

196

:

But, but in all honesty, you know, just a great group of people and, and, know, really,

you know, just wonderful opportunity to get to meet some folks.

197

:

And again, a really worthy cause, right.

198

:

And, and, and places that, that I was aware of and what, what's great kind of subsequent

that I'm glad you brought arts of life up.

199

:

So one of, one of our participants, woman that lives in one of our homes has attended our

day program as well.

200

:

She's, she's a participant in arts of life now.

201

:

So she's going to arts of life three days a week and is just so inspired by, by the work

that they do.

202

:

Right.

203

:

So, so it's just this, this crazy web that, that just continues to build in, uh, in this,

in this, in this work.

204

:

Right.

205

:

So yeah, just phenomenal, uh, groups that, that Greg is a part of.

206

:

And, and, you know, again, he's honoring his brother-in-law, his, his bride, right.

207

:

And, and, and doing this really meaningful work that.

208

:

that frankly, you know, we're just happy to kind of ride the coattails.

209

:

Yeah.

210

:

And so if you're looking to play some golf this upcoming summer, July 16th at ruffled

feathers and Lamont, the:

211

:

We'll send all the information out on our socials and we'll link it here as well.

212

:

But now's the time let's talk about the golf outing, right?

213

:

This is a great partnership and a great, uh, common combining of resources and skills and

talents to maybe elevate this event a little bit more.

214

:

So.

215

:

I'm going to leave the floor open to you gentlemen.

216

:

Let me know what's going on.

217

:

How's the organization behind the scenes working?

218

:

know RJ, you had talked and you're so excited to bring some of your administrative staff

and volunteers to help offset potentially some of the headaches that you experienced.

219

:

Greg, I know it's like the plan of golf outing, right?

220

:

So this is going to make everybody sleep a little bit better at night, right?

221

:

That's the plan.

222

:

That's the plan.

223

:

get some golfers to come out and have a great day, have a great fun.

224

:

Right.

225

:

So yeah, Greg fire away.

226

:

You've been doing this, right?

227

:

Again, we're riding your coattails.

228

:

Well, no, mean, Chris asked a question earlier.

229

:

did this crazy idea come about?

230

:

again, it wasn't as if RJ and I had talked about this and again, he's come to my golf

outing three, four years.

231

:

He's never said anything to me about where we are today.

232

:

So RJ, can you at least share with the audience how to be.

233

:

Right.

234

:

Yeah.

235

:

So, uh, so again, in, my, and you know, nimble ways, right?

236

:

So, so I, I should Greg an email, right.

237

:

And, and yeah, probably, I don't know.

238

:

It's, during the winter, right.

239

:

And, and I know, you know, where you are, Greg, Phoenix doesn't have winters, but we

still, we still enjoy winters here in Chicago.

240

:

So, so I reach out literally reach out blindly, like blindly to Greg.

241

:

And it, you know, it's not like we're in regular communication, right?

242

:

We see each other, we laugh, we have a great time, but then.

243

:

But then we go, you know, periods of time without, without really having, having a chance

to connect.

244

:

So, so I shoot this email like, Hey Greg, you know, I'm not sure if you're, if you've

decided on, on to who, what organization you're looking to partner with this coming golf

245

:

outing.

246

:

But you know, if, if there's a chance this year, sometime in the future that Oak Lydon

would be, you know, a partner in this work and, literally sent it off kind of fingers

247

:

crossed.

248

:

I lit a couple of candles, right?

249

:

Like, okay, maybe, maybe this will, maybe this will actually happen.

250

:

And, and sure enough, Greg, silly that he is right.

251

:

was like, yeah, I think we should probably do that.

252

:

Let's, let's get on a call and talk it, talk it through.

253

:

Right.

254

:

So yeah, just really, really phenomenal.

255

:

And, and, know, and we've hosted Oakland and we've hosted an outing probably the last, I

don't know, four years, I'm guessing.

256

:

And, and, you know, we get a really nice showing where everybody has a great time, but you

know, we're not, we're not filling the course.

257

:

Right.

258

:

And, and.

259

:

So it really, got me thinking when, when I was thinking about bankers classic and, and,

willing to hunt and Greg, thought, you know what, maybe there's a way to really combine

260

:

forces to, to really get as many golfers out there as we possibly can.

261

:

Right.

262

:

And, and, our worlds really don't interact.

263

:

So kind of Greg's group and our group, there, wouldn't be a whole lot of overlap if

there's any.

264

:

Right.

265

:

And, and so it felt like, you know what, let's, let's give this a go.

266

:

And, and, and I think, you know, and Greg,

267

:

Correct me if I'm wrong, you know, kind of this relationship that we're kind of embarking

on is a little bit different than the relationship you've had with the previous, you know,

268

:

nonprofits that you've.

269

:

that's what I was going to ask.

270

:

Greg, if you don't mind, touch base.

271

:

um You know, we all can commiserate what it takes to run a golf outing, right?

272

:

Like there's a lot of work involved and there's a lot of blood, sweat, tears and beers,

frankly, that are shared.

273

:

uh And, now as I understand it, you know, some of the administrative load, some of the

volunteerism is going to be transferred over to Oak Leiden, which is so inspiring in

274

:

itself.

275

:

And I can only imagine it's going to elevate the experience for everybody.

276

:

absolutely, absolutely.

277

:

And first and foremost, like I said, it's absolute pleasure to partner with RJ and

O'Blyton.

278

:

uh Of course, I love the work that they do.

279

:

What's fascinating about this year, and RJ didn't mention this, uh is that me and my team

may have had a conversation with another nonprofit maybe about a week before I got the

280

:

anonymous email.

281

:

Um, and, and, and believe it or not, we had kind of semi given this other nonprofit, you

know, the green light.

282

:

Now it wasn't a nonprofit that was in the IDD community.

283

:

Um, actually it was another nonprofit, uh, that we'll end up doing some work with in the

future.

284

:

Um, but very compelling organization.

285

:

Uh, you know, they have a better women's shelter, great organization, love the work that

they did.

286

:

And it was like, you know what?

287

:

And then when I get the email, unsolicited email, unsolicited email from RJ, I was like,

hmm, this is going to be tough.

288

:

Because, know, of course I said yes to this other nonprofit.

289

:

ah Obviously I have a love and affection and deep appreciation for the IDD community.

290

:

And so I was like, I went back to the team and

291

:

And the team says, no, Greg, have to do, we have to stay consistent, right?

292

:

Cause we know how much the IDD community means to you.

293

:

ah We know how much it means to your family.

294

:

uh so uh if, you know, RJ and his team wants to partner differently, ah then this seems

like a no brainer.

295

:

so then you asked the question, how is it different?

296

:

Right?

297

:

And I mean, you had mentioned Chris earlier that, you know, volunteers, uh, but I think

what's different is this is a true partnership, right?

298

:

Meaning, meaning that, you know, in previous years, the nonprofit, you know, basically not

that it's a bad thing, basically got a check from us and said, Hey, you know what?

299

:

Here it is.

300

:

Um, uh, enjoy it, appreciate it.

301

:

And, and, you know, we hope that it makes some, what have an impact in the work you guys

are doing every day.

302

:

So, you know, and so we, we thank them.

303

:

Whereas this time RJ was like, no, Greg, I really want to make it a true partnership.

304

:

Um, you know, I still want, you know, our folks to go out and raise money as much as we

can for the golf outing.

305

:

Um, so, you know, we have a variety of sponsorship levels ranging from, you know, 7,500

bucks down to 200 bucks.

306

:

And so, you know, RJ and his team says, Greg, you know, we would love to kind of figure

out, you know, how we can take some of these things to our sponsors, which I was like,

307

:

that's awesome.

308

:

you know, the, the, secondary piece is, know, again, how do we, you know, galvanize, you

know, our collective volunteers, um, to work registration, um, you know, to be guides on

309

:

the course, et cetera, et cetera.

310

:

And so this is a true partnership.

311

:

It's exciting.

312

:

It's something I want to commend you to Greg, if I don't, if I may, you know, for keeping

the main thing, the main thing, right.

313

:

And if you don't know much about me, I value certain things in life, mental health and the

empowerment of individuals as one of them.

314

:

And hearing the story that you shared about your brother-in-law living with you until his

passing just gives me such great joy because it's the stories that really help raise

315

:

money.

316

:

It's the stories that carry missions forward.

317

:

And what I'll say is, is, know, from, from afar hearing the baking industry and all of

these billion dollar corporations, right?

318

:

Like given today's time in society, right?

319

:

People would scoff at it and say, what, what does an organization like Oak Lydon really

have mixing and mingling with some of these big bankers?

320

:

Right.

321

:

And I could only imagine that your crowd, Greg, that you bring to the fold in terms of

banking industries are going to have such a better experience.

322

:

They're going to have.

323

:

such a better sentiment walking away after seeing some of the folks that RJ brings because

now it's really like, this is what we're doing as opposed to just cutting the check,

324

:

right?

325

:

Money's great and we all know nonprofits and community building organizations need it, but

it's the uplifting part.

326

:

It's the partnerships, it's the collaboration, it's the putting the work in that really

makes a difference.

327

:

And so you gentlemen are doing that.

328

:

I just can't wait to see the fruits of your labor.

329

:

um How many golfers are we hoping for or expecting?

330

:

Well, you know, the interesting thing is every year we get, you know, more golfers and

more golfers.

331

:

mean, I would expect, you know, anywhere between a hundred and 120 golfers, you know, if

all goes well.

332

:

you know, for the most part, I would say probably a third of that, you know, is going to

probably come from the O'Bladen community.

333

:

um And the balance of that comes from, you know, the willing to hunt community.

334

:

It's amazing.

335

:

But like I said, we were in true partnership.

336

:

And then also we've decided to do some things differently this year.

337

:

as it relates to how we're going to raise funds ah for Oglite.

338

:

We're going to do something different.

339

:

so typically the way that uh we did things with the golf outing was that we had, for lack

of a better word, we had a raffle.

340

:

So we raffled off some things, which proceeds from the raffle, typically went to the

nonprofit.

341

:

And then we also had a paddle race.

342

:

And that paddle race started at thousand bucks all the way down to 25 bucks.

343

:

And typically the paddle raises really how we raised most of the money, of to be honest

with you.

344

:

Right.

345

:

Um, and so what we're going to do differently this year is that I don't know about you,

Chris golf outings.

346

:

They can last a long time.

347

:

You can be out there.

348

:

Oh,

349

:

That's one of the reasons why I don't golf.

350

:

I don't like to be mad in general, but somebody asked me to be mad for six straight hours,

I'm out.

351

:

And on top of it, paid to do it?

352

:

No, I'm good, I'm good.

353

:

yes, outings can take a long time.

354

:

And so typically, you know, you're out there four or five hours playing golf.

355

:

come in for dinner and then you're in there for another two or three hours for the

programming and someone that loves golf uh and you know, loves nonprofits.

356

:

It's a lot to ask.

357

:

It's a long day.

358

:

Right.

359

:

And so what we decided to do this year is that we're going to attempt to do, you know, all

of our.

360

:

paddle raising, all of our fundraising on the course.

361

:

We'll try to it on the course.

362

:

And the way we're going to do that is that, you know, we're going to have all these great,

experiential things that people can do.

363

:

So we're going to have a hole in one contest.

364

:

there's four par threes out, out there at ruffle feathers.

365

:

So at each par three, you will have an opportunity to win, uh, either a trip to Hawaii, a

trip to.

366

:

A golf trip to Hawaii golf trip to New Jersey golf trip to California and the ability to

win.

367

:

Like I think a set of Callaway iron.

368

:

Right for a hole in one.

369

:

And so what we're going to do is, uh, you know, for a small fee, you enter, um, the

contest, for the hole in one.

370

:

So that's one, we're going to do it.

371

:

The second way we're going to do it is we have what they call the golf ball launcher.

372

:

Now, I don't know if you've ever seen this before, Oh, have you ever seen the golf ball

launcher?

373

:

Yes, I've seen launchers, but I don't know if I've seen a golf ball launch.

374

:

Yeah.

375

:

So, so it's a, um, you know, kind of pressurized gun, um, that you have the ability to

launch this thing or 150 yards.

376

:

Hold on, run with that thing.

377

:

which is little longer than Greg's average drive.

378

:

A little longer.

379

:

ah It is straighter though.

380

:

It's consistently straighter than Greg's long drive.

381

:

There's no...

382

:

There's no slice.

383

:

So again, we're going to allow folks to use this uh golf launcher ah to either, you know,

kind of participate in like a hole in one on a par four, or you use it for your drive on

384

:

the longest drive hole.

385

:

So again, folks can again, enter that contest.

386

:

ah And so there's going to be a variety of things that we're going to do on the course

that are going to allow participants to, to again, help us raise.

387

:

money for this this worthy nonprofit

388

:

You heard it July 16th.

389

:

got to mark my calendar because I've never used a golf ball launcher.

390

:

And if nothing else, I'm coming just for that experience.

391

:

So, um, but we.

392

:

m

393

:

we'll have you launching up Chris.

394

:

I thought you were going to say, maybe we'll have you launched.

395

:

But no, gentlemen, listen, I'm so honored that you guys allowed me the opportunity to

highlight this amazing partnership and collaboration and effort to help push an

396

:

organization that, I said earlier, I hold very, very in high regard.

397

:

Of course, RJ and Jim have been a great support system of me and Hail Hail Auctions.

398

:

And I want to do my best to support Oak Lydon.

399

:

And now you willing to hunt, Greg?

400

:

Um, this is just such an exciting, unique combination of talents and skills and, uh,

initiatives, um, bringing, you know, making our world a better place is, which is what

401

:

we're all about.

402

:

And so before we do sign off, you know, Greg, I want to give you the floor for a few

minutes, if you will talk one more time about willing to hunt anything you want to

403

:

advertise, where can people connect with you?

404

:

Should they need your services?

405

:

Uh, the floor is yours.

406

:

No, and I appreciate that Chris.

407

:

And again, thank you again for the opportunity to be on the platform.

408

:

It's always great to see RJ's, know, uh gray beard.

409

:

He has more hair than me as well.

410

:

So I'm little jealous.

411

:

it.

412

:

ah Yeah.

413

:

In terms of willing to hunt, like I said, I mean, we pretty much ah work with all

individuals in the financial services industry, you know, specifically within banking.

414

:

In terms of how you can reach us, can reach us via our website at www.willingtohunt.com.

415

:

You can also reach us via social media, whether that be LinkedIn, Facebook.

416

:

And again, just type in willing to hunt in the search field, we should pop right up.

417

:

So thanks again.

418

:

Look forward to seeing you, Chris, on the 16th.

419

:

I'll be there.

420

:

I'll be there with bells and whistles and thank you for all you're doing and thank you for

coming on today, Greg.

421

:

It's been a pleasure to get to know you and really just continue to be inspired by the

great work that's being done in the world that we don't often get to hear about, which is

422

:

why this platform was created in essence as well.

423

:

And RJ, I can't get enough of you.

424

:

You're the second, I should say, now Chris Hensley, how we met, is the first two-timer,

but you're now the second two-time guest here on The Appeal.

425

:

so...

426

:

I want to say thank you for one, trusting me to help share this story.

427

:

Two, thank you for allowing me to help raise money for you as always.

428

:

And the floor is yours again.

429

:

Let people know where they could find you, how they can help support Oak Lydon and hear

more about the golf outing.

430

:

Absolutely.

431

:

Thanks Chris.

432

:

And, and again, thanks for the partnership, Greg.

433

:

And, and you know, Chris, thanks for shining a light and, really, you know, just using

your, know, your big blowtorch here to really spread the word.

434

:

Right.

435

:

And grateful for that.

436

:

And, and, you know, so Oak Lydon, www.oak-lyden.org.

437

:

Uh, you know, we.

438

:

We can, we can use all the help, uh, time talents and treasure, right?

439

:

That's, that's, that's how we get things done.

440

:

And, you know, we're grateful for the partnership.

441

:

Uh, hope to see a lot of folks out on July 16th at ruffle feathers.

442

:

Great course, by the way, really a great course, some great holes.

443

:

It'll test you, but, but you'll get some rewards too, especially if you use the ball

launch.

444

:

That will be, that will really help me and my game.

445

:

I'll tell you that much.

446

:

But in all seriousness, really appreciate the opportunity to spread the word and Chris,

thanks for all the work you do and just appreciate everything that you've committed

447

:

yourself to uh and raising the awareness and raising funds for worthy organizations.

448

:

So thank you guys and if you don't know, I'm Chris Maluszewski with HailHailActions.

449

:

can find out all it is that I do in my fundraising realm at hailhailauctions.com.

450

:

I'm active on LinkedIn and Instagram.

451

:

So connect with me there and uh gentlemen, this has just been a riot.

452

:

Thank you so very much.

453

:

uh It's been fun and you know, to get to poke fun a little bit at one another, but most

importantly, raise awareness for what I believe is just an amazing partnership and it's

454

:

sure to be an amazing event on.

455

:

July 16th, the Banker's Charity Golf Classic for Oak Lydon, as we said at Ruffled

Feathers.

456

:

We'll share all that information, so if you haven't already, please sign up, get a

foursome, a whole sponsor, make a donation, whatever it takes, and maybe you'll get to see

457

:

me launch a few golf balls.

458

:

So gentlemen, with that said, I appreciate you both.

459

:

Hail, hail, have a great rest of your day, and we'll talk soon.
